This past Friday evening, at the Christmas party for VOM, Merv Knight (the Director of VOM in Australia) made a memorable (to me) observation. An opinion, he said, will cost you some breath; a conviction could cost you your life. Do believe he is exactly right!

Today I was pondering the wonder of who Jesus Christ is, the gift of life through Him, by the Spirit, and how complete was all that He accomplished on the cross. How sad it is, then, that so many who are called Christians, who love and believe in Him, actually do NOT believe that He IS the Saviour of ALL men...Saviour of the world. Yes, such will say that He is that, BUT only if man "accepts" salvation. If he chooses otherwise, then, alas, poor God, is helpless and can do nothing. Forgotten is what scripture tells us, that it is GOD who does the choosing, not man...and He shall not fail . PTL, He IS the Saviour of all, in His time and in His way, and our loving Father will have HIS way with His creation. Eph 1:10 reminds us that God is working ALL according to HIS full counsel and will. Amen.
